Proud dad Harry says Lilibet ‘chilled’ while Archie ‘running around like crazy’

Prince Harry has revealed his baby daughter Lilibet is "chilled" while son Archie is "running around like crazy" as he spoke to Ed Sheeran in a star-studded event.

The proud dad, 36, gushed over his children as he appeared as a surprise guest at the Wellchild Awards on Wednesday, Hello magazine reports.

He said: "As a father of two, I feel all the more connected, inspired and in awe of the resilience of these families."

Speaking to Ed Sheeran, who was also at the event and recently welcomed his own daughter, the royal said: "Two is definitely a juggle."

He added: "We've been lucky so far, she's very chilled and seems happy to just sit there while Archie is running around like crazy."

Harry was reportedly in high spirits at the the Wellchild event in Kew Gardens in south west London.

He was seen joking and chatting with attendees along with other celebs including Ronnie Wood, Amanda Holden, AJ Pritchard and Abbie Quinnen.

Harry arrived in the UK last Friday for the unveiling of a statue to his mother Princess Diana at Kensington Gardens tomorrow.

He was pictured for the first time leaving his five days' isolation at Frogmore Cottage earlier on Wednesday, looking deep in thought as he was driven into the Wellchild event in a Range Rover.

Harry's arrival comes before he meets Prince William in a face-to-face – their first since Prince Philip's funeral in April.

The duke will stand by his brother and join a small family gathering on what would have been the late Princess of Wales' 60th birthday on Thursday.

The Wellchild event celebrates inspirational young people living with serious illnesses and those who go the extra mile while caring for them.

It was originally scheduled for September but organisers changed the date to allow Harry, who has been the patron of WellChild since 2007, to attend after learning he would be in the UK, according to the Sun.

A source said: “WellChild is a charity that is very close to Harry’s heart and the organisers have moved heaven and earth to make this happen.

“His attendance was kept a complete secret and it was an amazing moment when he surprised those in attendance.

“Harry made sure he spent time talking to as many of the children and their families as possible – as well as care givers who were present at the ceremony.

“It was an enormous success and it could not have gone better.”

Harry was stripped of his military and royal patronages when he stepped back from royal duties to move to the US.

But he and his wife Meghan, 39, have kept their private links to charities.
