Prince Harry spotted playing polo in first public appearance since Jubilee

Prince Harry has been spotted in his first appearance in public since the Platinum Jubilee.

The Duke of Sussex, 37, was seen at a polo grounds in California at the weekend as he took part in an afternoon session of his favourite sport.

He was wearing a black helmet and the green and white uniform of his team, who play at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club.

Photographs from the polo club show him riding determinedly on his horse as he wields his mallet forwards the action, while another snap shows him on two feet on the ground holding it aloft.

Meghan Markle, who was seen sharing a kiss with Harry at the end of a victorious game last month, was not in attendance.

According to Cosmopolitan, Harry plays for a team headed by model friend Nacho Figueras named Los Padres, who were up against rival side Dundee II in the most recent fixture.

The 45-year-old, nicknamed the 'David Beckham of polo', recently posted a moving tribute to the Duke on his Instagram account.

Showing a photo of him with his arms around a smiling Harry in front of a trophy, he wrote: "What a joy to see u (sic) smile and be so happy. I love being your teammate."

It comes only days after Nacho and Harry came out tops in a tournament, with other members of Los Padres speaking highly of the Prince's ability.

One source claimed that he relishes how his global fame and royal status counts for nothing out on the polo field, as his teammates simply treat him as "one of the guys".

Praising his efforts for the team, the source told People magazine: "Prince Harry looks so comfortable and happy on the polo field, and everyone treats him like he is just one of the guys!"
