Prince Harry has said he sped down the same Paris tunnel where Princess Diana was killed after being chased by paparazzi.
The Duke revealed he was searching for some kind of evidence of her death after he also demanded to see secret government files surrounding the tragic incident.
Harry told Tom Bradby in Harry: The Interview on ITV, that he looked through files and saw "ghostly visages" of paparazzi taking pictures of his mum as she lay unconscious on the floor of the car.

Looking at those pictures, shown to him by his private secretary, Harry said he saw "paps, and reflected paps and refracted Paps on all the smooth metal services and glass windscreens."

He commented exclusively during the ITN Production: "Those men who’d chased her. They’d never stopped shooting her while she lay between the seats. Unconscious or semi-conscious.
"And in their frenzy, they’d sometimes accidentally photographed each other. Not one of them was checking on her, offering her help, not even comforting her. They were just shooting, shooting, shooting."
The Prince told Tom Bradby how grateful he was to his private secretary, Jamie for showing him only what he "needed to see" and nothing excessive.

Harry admitted in the interview that he felt compelled to visit the Paris tunnel where his mother died and expected it to appear "inherently dangerous", only to find it is fairly indescript.
"I was looking for evidence that it was, that it actually happened, that it was true," Harry explained. "But I was also looking for something to hurt, because at that point I was still pretty numb to the whole thing.
"That was, again, my body, my sort of nervous system just kind of shut down and said like, let's not go there."

Unbeknown to Harry, his older brother Prince William embarked on the exact same trip to the French capital, also travelling through the tunnel at the same speed as Diana.
Harry revealed: "Then we came to the mouth of the tunnel. We zipped ahead, went over the lip of the tunnel’s entrance, the bump that supposedly sent mummy’s Mercedes veering off course.
"But the lip was nothing, we barely felt it."

Speaking on the tunnel's lights above, Harry said: "I counted them, counted my heart-beats and in a few seconds, we emerged from the other side.
"I sat back. Quietly I said, “Is that all of it? It’s nothing, just a straight tunnel.” I’d always imagined the tunnel was some treacherous passageway, inherently dangerous but it was just a short, simple, no frills tunnel. No reason anyone should ever die inside it."
