Police rush to reports of ‘woman’s body’ in park only to find life-size sex doll
Police rushed to the scene of a reported ‘dead body’ of a woman in a US forest only to realise it was someone's discarded life-size sex doll.
The Jones County Sheriff's Office in Gray, Georgia, received news of a deceased female found on a trail in Hitchiti National Forest on February 4.
The reports said a female was face down in the forest with only her white socks visible from the overgrown area.
Officers were dispatched to the scene and were relieved to find out the reported ‘body’ was a clothed female doll covered in dirt after being discarded in the forest.
Sheriff Butch Reece posted about the unusual incident on Facebook to the amusement of local residents and other Facebook users.
While he didn't explicitly say the doll was likely being used for sex, that's certainly the conclusion reached by commenters.
Some joked that someone was looking to get rid of their plastic "side chick" before Valentine’s Day, while others were just happy to learn it was not a real body.
The post, which has been shared 32k times, read: “Initial responding deputies observed what appeared to be the body of a deceased female wearing white socks.
"Our crack team of investigators arrived on scene, along with Deputy Matthew Dennis, who quickly recognised the body to actually be a life-sized doll, complete with accessories.

“Deputy Dennis located the model number (which was very concerning for me). Never missing the opportunity, the crime scene was appropriately processed and the evidence was collected and brought to the Sheriff's Office.”
The doll, which has now been named Selena by cops, is now at the Jones County Sheriff's Office where they say she has been “a little under the weather”.
Sheriff Reece also joked that the doll would make a full recovery.

Police are not looking for Selena’s owner after finding no DNA evidence on the doll but advised him to dispose of their items responsibly next time.
The post continued: “In all seriousness, thank God for small blessings in that this just turned out to be a case of littering.
“If you know Selena or are responsible for her whereabouts, rest assured no DNA was collected and you are safe. But in the future, please make sure to dispose of your items in a responsible way.”
