Netflix down in UK leaving thousands without streaming service during lockdown

Thousands of viewers across the UK and around the world have complained that streaming service Netflix is down.
Many reported being unable to connect to the website and programmes being unavailable.
Several frustrated users shared pictures of their screens on Twitter, complaining they could not stream their favourite shows.
Responding to one customer, the a Netflix rep wrote on Twitter: "We are investigating the issue at the moment."
According to outage tracker site DownDetector over 1,600 complaints had been logged on social media as of 11am.
The Daily Star has contacted Netflix, but has yet to receive a response.
Several customers reported seeing the error code NSES-500.
According to Netflix's website, the information stored in the customer's browser needs to be refreshed to clear the error – but several people claim they've already tried that with no success.
One frustrated would-be viewer said: "Error Code NSES-500 cannot connect but internet is working fine and I've cleared internet browsing history and cache.."
Twitter user Haroon Sikandar said "Netflix is completely down around the globe"
