Neighbours plagued by mystery high-pitched noise that rings all day long – but at different tones
A MYSTERY high-pitched ringing in Birmingham has been terrorising residents.
The jarring sound in Dudley, West Mids, can be heard in different tones throughout the day.
And it is being investigated by Dudley Council.
Social media users have posted online after noticing the ringing — which some say goes on all day.
A post on the Spotted: Netherton Facebook page said: "Can anyone hear the high pitched noise over DY2 area?"
The poster said they had reported the incident to Dudley Council and that the council is investigating the issue with the Environmental Health team.
The social media user said: "It goes on all day, sometimes different tones of pitch, even early in the morning it goes off.
"If you can hear it, please report it so as to add more weight to the complaint I've just made."

One members of the community group joined the discussion and said: "Yes, it kept me awake all night, I thought I was going round the twist."
Another wrote: "It started this morning at 9am and is still sounding intermittently now."
Other users responded saying they can also hear a noise.
One resident claimed to have reported the mysterious vibes to the council last year and said it wasn't the first time it had happened.
