Neighbours of bloke with illegal man cave allege he built a new swimming pool

The neighbours of a man who built an illegal man cave now allege he has just finished work on a new indoor swimming pool.

Despite receiving orders to tear down "Britain's best man cave," millionaire Graham Wildin has apparently built an indoor pool in the family's garden.

New aerial photos above the 69-year-old's house show a new building, which locals allege appeared late last year.

Wildin, an accountant, is still refusing to tear down the illegal man cave despite being ordered by the local council to demolish his flash pad.

A drone that scouted the property seems to show a pile of inflatable toys piled on the decking outside.

The complex, in addition to its allegedly new swimming pool, also includes a cinema, bowling alley and squash court.

It is unsure as to whether Wildin needs planning permission to erect any new structures, with documents not declaring any formal requests of building licenses from the Forest Dean council.

A spokesperson for the council said they were unable to comment due to the ongoing legal proceedings.

One neighbour who lives on the same road as Wildin said: "He's not very well liked. He's upset everybody on this road by flouting planning rules and then parking his collection of classic cars everywhere.

"He's had as swimming pool built at the back, finished not long ago. That was ongoing for about four or five months. He gets up everybody's back, and to him it's payback time for all the people on this road.

"He's even had his gates repaired to keep everyone away from his house. There's always something going on up there, they started on the swimming pool which went in late last year."

The neighbour added that residents do not "see him very often" and said Wildin used to be "part of the community" but has now "annoyed everyone on the road and treats us badly."

Land registry documents show a new pool complex within the plot.

According to Companies House, the active directors of the company are currently Graham's daughters Jacqueline Mannion and Louise Trigg as well as his son Philip Wildin.

Former directors of the company include Graham Wildin himself, who is listed as resigning in 2004.

After an eight year legal battle, Wildin was slapped with a deadline to tear down the ultimate man cave to avoid a jail sentence for contempt of court over ignoring the order being passed without any action taken.

Relatives or neighbours would have to give permission for bulldozers to pass over their land to reach Wildin's land to take down his man cave by force.

A council spokesperson said: "The Council can not comment on an ongoing case and is continuing to work with the relevant authorities.''

Neither Wildin or his family responded to requests for comment.
