- Nadine Dorries said: ‘For the Conservatives, it’s bring back Boris or die’
- She is to host her own weekly TV talk show and Boris is her first guest
She said of her old boss just this month: ‘For the Conservatives, it’s bring back Boris or die.’
So when ex-culture secretary Nadine Dorries interviews former prime minister Boris Johnson in the first episode of her new talk show, it’s not expected to be a Paxman-style grilling.
TalkTV says her weekly one-hour show Friday Night with Nadine will be an ‘irreverent look at the week’s news’ including ‘topical chat’ with guests from areas such as politics, culture and sport. The Tory MP for Mid Bedfordshire joins the likes of Piers Morgan, Jeremy Kyle, and Sharon Osbourne, who all appear on the channel.

Miss Dorries, who was a staunch ally of Mr Johnson’s before his resignation in July last year, said: ‘As someone who’s never been afraid to speak their mind, I’m delighted to be joining the team at TalkTV for Friday Night with Nadine, where I’ll be putting my 23-year political career and experiences at the despatch box to good use.
‘Boris Johnson continues to dominate so much of the political narrative since his departure from No 10. Now’s the time to find out what he really thinks about a whole range of pressing issues.’ Her new TalkTV show begins on Friday at 8pm.
