The former First Lady complained that it seemed to take her husband “too long” to complete his 18 holes, confessing she would happily get rid of his golf clubs. She jokingly told The Ellen DeGeneres Show: “They’re annoying! It takes too long! Why is there a sport where there are 18 holes?
“They just made that up, that’s somebody trying to avoid their wife!”
Ms Obama also opened up on life at home with her daughters, Malia and Sasha.
Both of her daughters are studying at university – Malia at Harvard and Sasha at the University of Michigan.
Due to the pandemic, the two girls are distance learning from home like most other college students.
Michelle told Ms Deneres: “They’re back. The kids are back.
“But everybody is doing well.”
She added: “In these times, if you have your health, it’s hard to complain.
“And we have had a lot of family time: They’re back.”
The ex-FLOTUS has spoken in the past about how her mother helped her bring up Malia and Sasha.
In an interview with Essence in 2019, she highlighted the positive role her mother played in the girls’ upbringing, with her high standards and hard-to-please personality.

She said: “I credit my own upbringing. I credit my mother.
“She was in the house with us. Anyone who met Marian Robinson knows she’s not impressed with anything.
“Our focus was to make sure the girls did what they were supposed to do.”
