The Met Office has issued a red alert warning for the first time ever in UK history.
It comes as parts of the country will be faced with 40C blistering heat on Monday and Tuesday (July 18 and 19).
The red warnings focus mainly on London and parts of central England, but could hit Manchester and York, too.

The rest of the country will be hit with an amber alter, with temperatures set to rise to a still scorching 35c.
This has lead to Severen Trent water to urge the public to "conserve water" as things hot up.
Experts warned earlier today that it could see workplaces and schools being shut in order to protect like, and that those in care homes would need special attention to cope with the heat.
BBC Weather presenter Matt Taylor said: "That is exceptionally hot, it is the sort of temperatures that if you are on holiday you may be able to deal with but in day-to-day life it can have severe impacts on health and we are likely to see impacts on transport and power next week as well."
There won't be much respite from the heat at night, either, as it won't go below 25c across most of the country.
However, we can all calm down by Wednesday as that is scheduled to hit the cooling highs of 20c after a thunderstorm removes the heat overnight.

Those further north, in Scotland, won't be seeing the same highs, however, as it isn't predicted to go above 17c during the same period.
Leaving Scotland to one side, the 40c temperatures, if reached, will break all recorded British weather records.
There is around an 80% chance that the UK temperature record of 38.7c could be broken, and a 50% chance temperatures will hit 40 degrees, according to experts.
