Meghan Markle coronation absence due to Sussexes’ ‘fights’, claims royal expert

Meghan Markle's absence from the upcoming coronation of King Charles III could be due to in-fighting between the Sussex duo.

Prince Harry is set to make the trip to England for the May 6 coronation of his father, the King of England, although the Duchess of Sussex is set to stay behind.

The Duke's solo appearance has stoked a fire of rumours, with expert Kinsey Schofield wondering whether the pair have had a falling out.

She alleged the pair had been in a "state of fights" and that the absence of Meghan from the upcoming coronation could point toward those stories being true.

Speaking to The Daily Star, expert Schofield said: "Rumours have been circulating in the states of fights between the Sussexes so some will argue that Meghan's absence gives those stories credibility."

It comes as experts begin weighing in on the omission of the Duchess of Sussex from the coronation.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the Duke of Sussex would be attending the coronation, although the May 6 event is set to clash with the birthday of the Sussex's son Archie.

Fellow expert Omid Scobie was previously reported by The Daily Star as saying Harry's trip would be "fairly quick" for the service.

He said: "I understand that Archie's fourth birthday (also on May 6) played a factor in the couple's decision. Expect it to be a fairly quick trip to the UK for Prince Harry, who will only be attending the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey."

Speculation over whether the Duke and Duchess would be invited, let alone attend the coronation, was rife in the lead-up to the eventual acceptance of an invitation, which Buckingham Palace has since confirmed.

A statement from the Palace read: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

"The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."
