Man who was meant to donate corpses to science instead ‘dumped them around city’
A bloke responsible for a business that would donate dead bodies to science had instead been dumping them around the city.
The cadaver business in Seattle, US, was meant to be donating the bits and pieces of recently departed people to research centres, but instead owner Walter Harold Mitchell III dumped the bodies.
Mitchell, 61, was sentenced on Monday to more than six years in prison for leaving the likes of severed heads littered around the city.

A Yavapai County Court jury found him guilty of 29 felony counts of concealing or abandoning a dead body, which Mitchell has said he takes "responsibility" for.
At his sentencing Mitchell said: "I take responsibility for what I did. Whatever the court sees fit, I will live or die by. I am sorry."
His apology came before Judge Krista Carman sentenced the man to concurrent two-and-a-half year prison terms for a total of 24 counts and a concurrent but consecutive three-year and nine-month term for the other five counts.
Mitchell's sentencing in total adds up to a total of six-and-a-quarter years behind bars.
The former cadaver business owner will be credited for the 671 days he has served since his arrest in 2020.
However, prosecutors may feel short-changed in the judge's ruling after it was reported that they were seeking a prison term of no less than 18 years for Mitchell.
Prosecutors say that Mitchell took body donor parts in dry ice when he moved to Arizona, kept them in a freezer and subsequently dumped them around the city in November 2020.
He was arrested after selling the freezer, which had been filled with the remains of mostly women, with 12 separate people said to have had their organs or body parts, including an arm and leg, inside of the freezer.
Prosecutors also said that amid the numerous body part findings were two severed heads. The discovery led to the recovery of three other heads.
