Man in his 40s arrested on suspicion of murder after body found in field as family pays tribute to 'wonderful' brother

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found in a field.

Family members have paid tribute to "wonderful" Kamil Leszczynski, who was discovered close to a farm track in a Bedfordshire village on July 1.

Police swooped the area off Turvey Road, between the villages of Carlton and Turvey, at around 4.30pm.

They arrested the suspect in his 40s, from Northamptonshire, in connection with the incident on Wednesday.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Cops investigating Mr Leszczynski's death today set up a roadblock close to where his body was found a week ago to hunt for clues.

His family described the 33-year-old, from Wellingborough, as "cheerful and affectionate".

They said in a statement: "Kamil was a wonderful person and a wonderful brother.

"He was a cheerful and affectionate man. He loved his sister, and was always caring and supportive of her.

"He will be missed by all of his family and friends."

Detective Superintendent Ian Simmons, from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit (MCU), leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.

We are working to establish his movements leading up to 1 July, and we are extremely keen to speak to anyone who knew Kamil, or saw in him in the days before.

“No matter how short your sighting or conversation was, I would encourage you to please get in touch.”

He added: “Our activity today is trying to trace anyone who may have driven through this area last week, seen anything or captured any footage.
