Transport Secretary Grant Shapps has confirmed Malta, the Balearic Islands and Caribbean Islands were among the countries which will be added to the green list.

And now the party resort is prepared to see again fun-seeking Brits who have eagerly been waiting to jet off to their favourite holiday place for a well-deserved break.

Millions of Brits have been patiently waiting to join other tourists who have been enjoying the sun at Magaluf Beach.

Things are different this year however, officials have imposed strict Covid-19 restrictions, including banning of dancing, staying out after 2am.

All the Balearic islands, known for their nightlife and all-night clubs and bars will have a 2am curfew in place indoors and outside while dancing either outside or inside is also banned.

The strict measures mean people could easily be breaking the law on a night out.

It comes as authorities have warned holidaymakers to ''be responsible'' in Spain's party hotspots such as Ibiza and Majorca.

Following last year's anti ‘trash tourism’ decree when revellers were caught wrecking a car and causing chaos, officials have threatened to shut down the popular Calle del Jamon and sister street Calle de la Cerveza amid concern over Covid-19 breaches.

Sixteen holiday destinations have been added to the country's green list, in a major holiday boost.

Starting next week, Brits will be able to travel to their favourite holiday hotspots without quarantine on the way back.

Meanwhile, flight prices to sunny destinations have tripled in minutes as the cost of flying to Ibiza, Majorca, Menorca and Malta has surged up to 200 per cent overnight.

There are several other destinations that remain on the amber list, under UK's traffic travel light system.

People travelling to the UK from amber list countries have to quarantine for 10 days at home and will need a pre-arrival Covid test, as well as tests on day two and day eight of quarantine.

However ministers have confirmed that double-jabbed Brits won't need to quarantine when they return to Britain in the future.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps confirmed the move after Boris said now was the time to open up international travel again.

Those who have had two vaccinations will get greater freedom while travelling as they are fully protected against Covid.

It means that amber-list destinations like France and Greece will be on the cards within weeks – possibly as soon as August.
