Kirstie Alley tells Tucker Carlson she's experienced 'blackballing' after supporting Donald Trump
Kirstie Alley says she's been blackballed by Hollywood after expressing support for former President Donald Trump.
Appearing on Fox Nation'sTucker Carlson Today on Wednesday, Alley shared: "People go, ‘You’re so brave.’ I go, ‘No, I think I’m stupid.’ Because honestly, it is a real situation. And it is a real blackballing situation. It’s so strange to me because artists are free-thinkers, for the most part."
The former Cheers star also told host Tucker Carlson, "You can be cooking meth and sleeping with hookers, as long as apparently you didn’t vote for Trump. I feel like I’m in The Twilight Zone a bit, with the whole concept of it."
Alley went on to say that other celebrities had unfollowed her after she announced her plans to vote for Trump a second time.
“I’m going, ‘I’m the same person. I’m the girl who voted for Obama twice… You liked me when I voted for Obama and now you’re this?’ It’s made me have to rethink, weirdly, my whole friendships," she told Carlson.
In a message to Twitter, she wrote: "I’m voting for [him] because he’s NOT a politician," the actress tweeted, ahead of the Nov. 3 election. "I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason.
"He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks, there you have it."
I’m voting for @realDonaldTrump because he’s NOT a politician. I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason. He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks there you have it?
