Insiders have revealed more details of incidents that caused two Royal couples to turn their backs on each other.
As the aftershocks of Prince Harry and Meghan's TV interview with Oprah Winfrey continue, experts say more than the now infamous row over a bridesmaid's dress ruined the relationship between them and Prince William and Kate.
In the interview, Prince Harry implied relations between himself and his brother were strained but said: "Time heals all things hopefully."
In the Oprah interview, Meghan claimed her fall out with the British press and 'The Firm' began when it was widely reported she had made Duchess of Cambridge Kate cry during a row over Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid's dress, days before Meghan and Harry's £32million wedding in 2018.
Meghan said the truth was Kate had made her cry, and she was left hurt and angry that the Royal 'Firm' did not put the record straight.
However, the Sun on Sunday today claimed both women had cried over the argument. A source said: "Both women were clearly shaken by the bridesmaid’s fitting incident. There are two sides to this story. We have now heard them both."
Megan also revealed to Oprah that Kate had sent her flowers to say sorry over the row, but the Mail on Sunday has reported sources who claim the bouquet was thrown in the bin and a door slammed in Kate's face.
In an earlier flare-up, it is said Kate had already hurt Meghan's feelings before she tied the knot with Harry.
However, insiders say it was not just the women's relationship that was feeling the strain.
It is claimed a rift had formed between William and younger brother Harry long before the Prince and the former Suits actress fell in love.
The Mail On Sunday reports the two brothers were frequently at loggerheads over how to run their joint charity The Royal Foundation, with Harry seeking a hands-on approach in tackling wildlife conservation, while William wanted to empower local communities to do the work themselves.
It is also claimed Prince Harry grew frustrated at the lack of time William could give to the project, as his schedule was increasingly taken up with matters of state preparing him to one day become King.
Neither William nor Kate has since officially commented on the Oprah interview.
