Inside Donald Trump’s weight loss & diet as ex-President sheds 29lbs – from 2,500cal McDonald’s order & 12 Cokes a day | The Sun

FORMER President Donald Trump has revealed a shock update on his weight following his latest arrest in Atlanta.

The 77-year-old told cops that he weighed 240 pounds when he was last arrested in Manhattan in April ahead of his arraignment.

But Trump has been arrested once more after turning himself in to Fulton County Jail on charges of attempting to overthrow Georgia's 2020 election.

And a staggering takeaway from the whole ordeal is that he has managed to shed 29 pounds in just four months.

Upon arrival, Trump gave his height as 6-feet 3-inches and his weight as 215 pounds.

It represents a huge turnaround in physical health for the former President, who is known to have concerning diets and unusual eating habits.

Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, and deputy campaign manager, David Bossie, revealed details of his campaign diet in their 2017 book 'Let Trump Be Trump'.

On Trump Force One, the campaign airplane, they said “there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza, and Diet Coke."

Trump would also demand the plane to be stocked with cookies and snacks in large quantities, with M&M's a favourite according to Insider.

Trump was also a frequent stopper at McDonald's and his order would consist of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a chocolate milkshake.

The New York Times also revealed in 2017 that the former President would guzzle 12 Diet Cokes everyday.

But things clearly got so bad that Trump's former doctor felt the need to hide vegetables in his meals to help him lose weight.

Physician Dr Ronny Jackson hid cauliflower in mashed potatoes in what turned out to be a failed attempt to get him to drop 15 pounds after his BMI neared obesity.

Trump used to have bacon pieces and well-done steaks in the White House and a dessert with an extra scoop of ice cream.

But Trump's doctor deliberately made ice cream "less accessible" and wanted to introduce an exercise bike or elliptical machines at the White House.

However, Dr Jackson told The New York Times that Trump believed a round of golf would be enough to counter his diet.

In June 2020, ABC News reported that Trump weighed 244 pounds on his physical exam at the White House.

This would see him cross the clinical threshold for obesity.

But fast forward to September 2021 and people were convinced that Trump had lost weight after a picture of him was uploaded to Twitter.

Trump looked far slimmer around his head and face region but many claimed the image, uploaded by Republican Candidate for the US Senate in Pennsylvania Sean Parnell, was fake.

One social media user said: "Holy f**k that's a lot of photoshop."

While another said: "This photo is fake as Hell."

Just one month later though, his former advisor Jason Miller claimed Trump was happier and slimmer after leaving the White House.

In an interview with GB News, Miller described the former president as "a lot happier," "tanned," and "rested" since his departure.

Trump told Miller that "not having the kitchen there 24/7," as well as "a little bit of golf and a whole lot of endorsement," was the difference.

Trump does, however, take medication in a bid to lower his high cholesterol level of 233, as well as daily hair loss pills.

And although it remains unclear if a dietitian has been involved in his impressive turnaround, leaving the White House has worked wonders for his weight, at least.
