Influencer Paulina Sobierajska 'romanced by Alexis Sanchez' must pay surgeon £40k after moaning about Brazilian bum lift
AN INFLUENCER who claims she was romanced by footie star Alexis Sanchez has today been ordered to pay a surgeon £40,000 after she moaned about her Brazilian bum lift.
Online influencer and buttlift advocate Paulina Sobierajska – who claimed that ex-Arsenal and Manchester United star Sanchez offered her £1,000 for sex in 2018 – is a longstanding patient of Dr Alexander Amir Aslani.
She underwent three Brazilian buttlift procedures at the doctor's hands between 2018 and 2020.
Dr Aslani is an expert on Brazilian buttlift surgery, who has previously worked in London and Manchester and now runs a Marbella-based clinic where the majority of his customers are Brits.
Last year, Sobierajska posted a series of comments on social media criticising the surgeon and urging potential buttlift customers to avoid him.
Dr Aslani subsequently sued Ms Sobierajska for libel in the UK High Court, on the basis that at least 70 per cent of his customers come from the UK and that her comments would have the most damaging impact on his business here.
Mr Justice Saini today ordered the influencer to pay £40,000 damages to the surgeon, slamming the "total falsity of the allegations" she made against him.
The judge said Ms Sobierajska had travelled from the UK for her surgery but is not now permanently resident here.
Her social media pages reveal she is a frequent traveller, with glamorous posts from Marbella, Los Angeles and Dubai, as well as visits to top Mayfair clubs and hotels.
Giving his judgement he said: "The claimant is a respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon with particular expertise in a form of buttock augmentation surgery known as Brazilian Butt Lift.
"The defendant is a former patient of the claimant and is a social media “influencer.
"The defendant is a long-standing patient of the claimant; he had performed three major surgeries on her in February 2018, June 2019 and March 2020.
"The defendant paid for the first two surgeries and the third was carried out free of charge, as a gesture of goodwill.
"The defendant had developed a reputation as an advocate of Brazilian Butt Lifts and accordingly followers were likely to have an active interest in this type of surgery and in some cases, in the claimant himself."
SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS
He went on to set out how one of the four offending posts made by Ms Sobierajska stated "to the girls who are following me because they want to go to my previous surgeon…DON’T DO IT..” whilst another slammed the three rounds of surgery she recived at his hands as "unsuccessful".
Those posts were unfair and libelous the judge found, saying:
"Based on the above considerations, in my judgment it can be readily inferred that the publications were able to gain traction quickly and will have been viewed by a substantial number of viewers in the immediate time after they were published and in the months after for those which remained accessible.
"Some of those viewers will have been clients or prospective clients of the claimant.
"The claimant clearly has a reputation to protect in England and Wales including a large client base.
"On the basis that no fewer than 70 per cent of his patients come from the UK, his professional reputation and customer base cannot be greater elsewhere.
"The claimant names six people who did not proceed with surgery, with a contributing factor being the defendant’s campaign against the claimant.
"Those undergoing operations of the kind the claimant carries out may be more vulnerable about their bodies and likely to be influenced not to use the claimant’s services due to the publications.
"The publications have understandably caused the claimant hurt and distress.
"Standing back from these facts, I award a combined sum in respect of all publications of £40,000.00 to the claimant.
"This substantial sum is intended to reflect and signal the total falsity of the allegations against the claimant. The claimant is also entitled to an injunction and an order under section 12 of the Defamation Act 2013."
Ms Sobierajska is also likely to face a huge legal costs bill on top of the £40,000 damages after losing the case.
Three years ago, Paulina claims footie star Alexis Sanchez enticed her back to his flat — then did a cheeky striptease as they sipped pink champagne.
She said the Inter Milan striker chatted her up in a bar after sending a pal over with an outrageous message.
She claimed he said asked: “How much to make love to you?”
