An antisemitic blogger who said that the gas chambers where more than a million people were murdered actually helped to “save lives” is appealing her jail term.
Alison Chabloz, 58, also claimed that notorious Nazi death camp Auschwitz was a “theme park”.
And she also took the iconic song “You've got to pick a pocket or two” and changed the lyrics to “you've got to shift a shekel or two”, which is an antisemitic trope based on the theory that all Jews are wealthy.

She posted the video of her singing it online while on a suspended sentence for a similar offence in 2019, and was jailed for 22 weeks in April, 2022 as a result.
Chabloz denied the lyrics mocked Jewish people, and in particular the anti-Jew hate activist Ambrosine Chetrit, claiming the song was written from the perspective of the English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson.
However, the former member of the Labour Party – who joined in 2015 for just £3 – has now appealed against her conviction and sentence during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court.
She said: “I am playing the role of Tommy Robinson who is channelling the role of Fagin.
“I noticed the antisemitic tone of the conversation and the debate.

“I am in favour of Palestinian residents of Israel having the same rights as Jewish citizens.
“I am an anti-Zionist – I noticed that Tommy Robinson is a Zionist.”
And when asked if she thought the language she was used “entirely appropriate”, she admitted that it was in “bad taste”.
She added: “I had no intention of causing gross offence to the Jewish community. I was mocking Tommy Robinson and his associates.
“If I had wished the video to be for public consumption I would have published it on my website.

“That is the impression given by these prosecutions.”
She has previously claimed that Auschwitz was a theme park “for fools”, and is known to be a Holocaust denier.
Speaking exclusively about the appeal to the Daily Star, the director of Labour Against Antisemitism urged officials not to overturn the conviction.
Alex Hearn said: “Alison Chabloz is a former Labour Party member whose anti-Jewish racism was so extreme that she was convicted and jailed twice.
“We hope that any appeal by her is summarily dismissed by the court given the overwhelming evidence and previous findings against her.”
