A MAN admitted to his wife he could only have sex with her if he pictured his mum, who he was having an affair with.

The shocking affair between Ben Ford, 32, and his 51-year-old mum Kim West came to light in 2016 when the pair revealed they were having an incestuous relationship

Ben confessed to his wife that he'd fallen in love with his own biological mum and had "mind-blowing" sex with her several times – 30 years after Kim gave him up for adoption.

The mother and son, from Michigan, described having "incredible and mind-blowing" sex with each other before he was finally forced to confess his true feelings to his wife, Victoria.

On a quest to find his biological family, Ben wrote a letter to Kim before they were reunited in 2014 and their illicit relationship began.

Ben told his wife at the time: "Every time I have had sex with you since I met her, I imagine it's her I am kissing, otherwise I can't perform."

Victoria had already grown suspicious of the pair's close bond and branded Kim "the mummy girlfriend".

But nothing could have prepared her for the shocking news when she was told by her husband that he was leaving her for his own biological mother.

The couple were forced into hiding by a Michigan state law that meant that they could face up to 15 years in prison and be placed on a Sex Register for life.

Kim, who grew up in Islington, London, fell pregnant while studying in California at the age of 19.

She decided to give up the baby for adoption before heading back to the UK, losing contact with the family.

But 30 years later the mother and son would be reunited when Ben sent her a letter – hoping to meet his biological mum.

Neither of them could know that their first meeting a year later would spark a disturbing affair that would tear his own family apart.

Kim says it was as if they had "known each other for years" and she began having sexual dreams about her own son.

They both agreed to meet up at a hotel and after sharing a bottle of champagne the pair had their first illicit kiss.

Before long the couple's fondness for each other developed into incestual lust and the mother and son began having sex.

Just three days after their first sexual encounter, Ben revealed the life-changing news to his wife.

She launched into a "hysterical" rant when he announced that he'd fallen in love with his biological mum and that they had had "mind-blowing" sex on several occasions.

Victoria had already been uncomfortable with Kim and Ben's 'instant bond' and Kim had become jealous of Ben's marriage.

Kim said: "[Victoria] was welcoming, yet I couldn't warm to her. I felt a growing sense of competition and when Ben touched her I felt jealous.

"I became even more aware of the fact that she thought I was spending too much time with Ben. She would constantly call him when we were together.

"Eventually, he admitted she was giving him grief about spending time with me. 'She calls you mummy girlfriend' he said."

GENETIC SEXUAL ATTRACTION

Both Kim and Ben believe that Genetic Sexual Attraction was the reason for their bizarre feelings.

That's a term used to describe an attraction between relatives who were not raised together but met as adults.

However, the phenomenon has been described as a pseudoscience as there is very little evidence or studies that suggest people are sexually attracted to those who are genetically similar.

Ben, a computer coder, said: "When I met Kim, I couldn't think of her as my mum but instead as a sexual being.

"I had seen a therapist at an adoption support group and had learnt about the GSA phenomenon."

Kim, who worked as an interior designer, also said at the time: "This is not incest, it is GSA. We are like peas in a pod and are meant to be together.

"I know people will say we’re disgusting, that we should be able to control our feelings, but when you’re hit by a love so consuming you are willing to give up everything for it, you have to fight for it.

"It’s a once in a lifetime chance and something Ben and I are not willing to walk away from."

The couple set about starting a new life in Michigan, planning to get married and even have biological children if they could.

Inbreeding is thought to cause disabilities in children born to parents with a similar genetic makeup.

Conditions such as reduced fertility, facial asymmetry and limb malformation are all linked with inbreeding.

But the mother and son have since been forced into hiding after fearing they could face prosecution over the illegitimate affair.

Their location is currently unknown and it is unclear if the couple are still in a relationship.
