• Hassan Feissali, 41, was driving through North London when incident happened 
• He is driving slowly through residential streets when small child pops out in front
• Mr Feissali manages to slam on the brakes in time and the child scooters off  

A child has been caught on camera as a quick-thinking driver narrowly avoided him when he shot out in front of a car on his scooter.   

Hassan Feissali, 41, was driving his Honda through North London to pick up a friend from the airport on August 31 when a child suddenly zoomed out in front of his car. 

Dash cam footage shows Mr Feissali driving slowly through residential streets before he comes to what appears to be a residents’ carpark.

As he turns into the carpark a small child wearing a blue hoodie and grey tracksuit bottoms scooters into view. 

Mr Feissali slams on his brakes and the child jumps off his scooter in fright before looking up at the car. 

The child then immediately glides back the way he came on his scooter as though nothing happened. 

Mr Feissali carries on driving and an adult, who may have been watching the child, can be seen slightly further away.

The digital archivist said: ‘I was driving very slowly so I managed to stop. The boy was unharmed.’

He added that the boy’s mother was standing in the area but didn’t seem particularly bothered by the incident. 

Mr Feissali said: ‘The mother was standing nearby and when I looked at her she was completely indifferent. Nothing like this has happened to be before, it was truly shocking.’
