Ghislaine Maxwell to appear in person in Manhattan federal court

The family of Ghislaine Maxwell launched a website Friday that proclaims her “innocence” and tries to present “a more balanced viewpoint” of the accused madam, insisting she is “no monster.”

Realghislaine.com is filled with flattering photographs of Maxwell, and offers links to select news stories detailing her legal battle; it also promises her family will post updates on her case.

“We believe wholeheartedly in our beloved sister’s innocence and encourage visitors to this site to sign up for updates,” reads an excerpt on the homepage of the site, which is maintained by Maxwell’s siblings, family and friends.

“It is planned for other material to be added and readers can form a more balanced viewpoint.”

Included on the site is a video message from Maxwell’s brother, Ian, who decries the alleged poor conditions his sister faces at the Metropolitan Detention Center.

She will appeal her recently rejected third bail application, he vows.

“I and my brothers and sisters love her very much. We believe in her innocence and that she’ll be exonerated in the end, which is why it’s so hard for us to see her held in an American prison in solitary confinement without bail for over 260 days and counting,” the brother says in the video.

Ian claims Maxwell is losing sleep due to nightly interruptions from guards, who he says shine lights in her eyes for 15 minutes at a time.

“It’s cruel and usual, it’s torture, it’s wrong,” he said of her alleged treatment behind bars.

“My sister is no monster. Ghislaine is a stepmother. A wife. A friend to many. A sister to me. No one deserves to be tortured when they’re presumed innocent,” said Ian.

Maxwell was arrested in July 2020 and charged in Manhattan federal court with procuring underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein to abuse, then lying about it under oath.

She was recently hit with two additional sex-trafficking charges in a superseding indictment unsealed in March based on allegations by a fourth accuser.

She’s remained behind bars since her arrest and maintains her innocence.
