Fears for Charlotte and George following Queen’s coffin after Harry’s sad claim
Royal fans have expressed their concerns about youngsters Prince George and Princess Charlotte walking behind the Queen's coffin during the funeral today (September 19).
The pair are set to follow in the sad footsteps of their father Prince William and uncle Prince Harry who had to do similar when their mother the-late Princess Diana died around 25 years ago.
The moment was later recalled by Harry as a move that should never be repeated.

He said: “My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television.”
“I don’t think any child should be asked to do that, under any circumstances. I don’t think it would happen today.”
“No child should lose their mother at such a young age and then have his grief observed by thousands of people.”
And his brother William recalled: “I remember just feeling completely numb, disorientated, dizzy.
"You feel very, very confused. And you keep asking yourself, ‘Why me?’ All the time, ‘Why? What have I done? Why? Why has this happened to us?’”
And it is these comments which have led Royal fans to express their worries about George, nine and Charlotte, seven, taking up similar roles for the great-grandmother today.

Reacting to the news of their pair attending the funeral, one posted: “Far too young and I am really surprised that Wills and Kate agreed to this.
“Both Wills and Harry have said they were traumatised walking behind their mother’s coffin and they were older – not the best idea.”
And another wrote: “A nine year old and a seven year old forced to parade in front of thousands of people plus worldwide TV after their great-grandma just died.
“This is so f****d up.”
A third tweeted: “So George and Charlotte's ordeal has begun in front of the world walking behind Granny's coffin.

“I worry for George as he is quite sensitive.”
However, not everyone was so negative about the idea.
Some thought that the decision made by the parents was the right one.
“Why are people in meltdown over Prince George and Princess Charlotte attending the funeral and walking behind the coffin?,” one user wrote.

“The Queen was their great-grandmother, a big part of their lives – why shouldn't they be there?
And another posted: “George and Charlotte to walk behind grannies coffin brilliant although seven yrs old and nine yrs old there is criticism (sic).
“What we know in child bereavement is that a child should be offered the chance, listened to and then prepared for it.
“As we know this helps bereavement.”
