Diners slam ‘UK’s worst McDonald’s’ where ‘nail extension found in chips’

    • Shocked diners have slammed a UK McDonald's as the "worst", vowing never to return after reporting poor customer service, forgotten food and sickening hygiene levels.

    According to TripAdvisor, 78 of the 127 reviews of the Kingswinford branch, near Dudley, are one-starred reviews, with several calling it the “worst” McDonald’s they had ever been to.

    The branch has an overall rating of two stars on the review aggregation site, with disappointed customers complaining about “terrible” food and “non-existent” customer service.

    One peeved reviewer fumed over the branch’s poor hygiene standards, claiming they found a nail extension in their chips: “After finding a false nail in our chips we took our meal back for a refund and was offered a £10 voucher.

    “However they proceeded to insinuate that the nail was ours by saying only male staff worked on the fries station, however the bag was brought out by a female to us in our car with the chips being on the top of the order.

    “We are an all male household so the nail is definitely NOT ours.”

    Another wrote: “What a disgusting meal we have just had delivered!! 2 items missing and items what were there were stone cold.

    “Rang them and was told contact just eat not here !! Never ever will we use this branch again.”

    Many were also sick of the branch’s customer service, with one person saying that staff at the branch “threw the missed order at me, threw the change and forgot the drink” when they visited with their daughter.

    Another said staff “sneered and laughed” at them and their three kids after management allegedly refused to take an “old” £5 note as legal tender despite giving the customer the note as change.

    While most had very negative thoughts to share about the branch, some people reported having positive experiences.

    One person wrote: “'They get a rough deal ay this maccies but they can't be that bad as always a que getting on the drive through…this occasion 10/10.

    “Went on the off chance last night . Staff serving were so friendly and happy. The chap taking the order was singing it through and everyone in the que were laughing.

    “Had a hot chocolate which I'm rather fussy with wow was lovely.. chip nice and hot and big tasty no bacon was great.”
