Denver weather: Warm, sunny first day of November ahead
Tuesday is looking to start November off sunny and in the 70s with some near record highs and lows.
The high Tuesday is 71 degrees, only a few degrees lower than the record high temperature set in 1988, and the low Tuesday night is 44 degrees, only two degrees lower than the highest minimum temperature on record set in 2008.
Winds Tuesday will be slight, with gusts about seven mph. In the plains, gusts will reach 10 to 25 mph.
Low humidity will also contribute to elevated fire danger east and southeast of Denver.
Wednesday will also continue the warmer pattern of this week, with a 70 degree high. A band of clouds will move over the area Wednesday morning, so the day won’t be as sunny as Tuesday.
A cold front Thursday will bring a 21-degree drop in the daily high from Wednesday, which is set at 49 degrees. Rain showers are likely after noon, then increase to a 60% chance of showers in the afternoon.
The chance of showers will increase to 80% around 9 p.m., then overnight, the rain will turn to snow as the temperature drops to 27 degrees.
