Denver weather: Frigid temps descend, wind chills drop to -10 degrees
Denver became Denbrrrr Sunday as a cold front dropped temperatures into the single digits across the Front Range.
The city’s temperatures will top out at a chilly 9 degrees Sunday, with a chance of light snow in the late morning, according to the National Weather Service at Boulder. Less than an inch of new snow is expected to fall.
The Front Range and most of eastern Colorado is also under a wind chill advisory. In Denver, wind chills are expected to drop as low as -10 degrees, according to the weather service. In some spots to the east, the wind chills will dip to -20.
The cold snap is expected to continue Monday, with city temperatures ranging from -4 to 13 degrees and wind chills as low as -14. Another spritzing of snow is expected as well, but likely will be less than an inch, according to the weather service.
Sunshine and relative warmth will return to Denver on Tuesday, with highs in the upper 30s.
