Denver traffic: I-25 northbound lanes reopened after crash forces shutdown near University Boulevard
Police reopened Interstate 25 northbound lanes after a crash with serious injuries forced a complete shutdown for more than an hour Thursday morning in south-central Denver.
The crash involved two vehicles, Denver police officials said in a posting on Twitter, advising commuters to find alternative routes. I-25 northbound lanes were closed at University Boulevard and reopened around 10:30 a.m.
The crash happened shortly before 9 a.m. Thursday morning near where a multiple-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning forced the closure of I-25 for more than an hour. The Tuesday crash occurred near I-25 and University Boulevard, Colorado Department of Transportation officials reported, and both northbound and southbound I-25 lanes between University Boulevard and Downing Street were closed.
