‘Breakthrough’ in Idaho student murders as police bodycam picks up ‘screams’
The possible sound of a scream heard on a police officer's bodycam could be the breakthrough lead needed to solve the crime of the four Idaho students slain in their beds.
A high-pitched sound was heard and recorded at 3.12am on November 13, which was around the time that the University of Idaho students were killed as the officer responded to a separate incident that was near the college campus.
The sound has been interpreted as a scream by some listeners, but others have ventured that it could be the noise created by the squeal of car tyres pulling away, which could also provide another significant line of inquiry.

Police have not publicly reported any progress in solving the savage deaths of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin in their three-storey home.
The four students were friends with two other students on the first floor who were left unharmed.
In the newly-released video footage, police are shown talking to students suspected of underage drinking, while several people are filmed walking quickly past in the background two houses down from the crime scene just minutes before the victims were killed.

Earlier this month, a neighbour of the students also reported hearing a scream during the early hours of the morning when they were slaughtered.
Inan Harsh, a 30-year-old who lives in a nearby apartment block, told the Idaho Statesman how he had returned from a shift in his job as a cook at 1.30am and, later, as he dozed off at around 4am, heard someone yell out.
He dismissed the noise from the six-bedroom house at 1122 King Street in Moscow as a "party sound" at the time but, on hearing the appalling news, wondered whether it had been something much more sinister.
"I didn’t think anything of it," Harsh told the newspaper. "After what happened, I’ve definitely had second thoughts. Maybe it was not a party sound."
