Horrifying security camera footage captured an Army paratrooper’s fall while she was reportedly ‘filming a parachutist’ before she died at a hospital in southeastern Brazil.
Bruna Ploner, 33, was attempting to make a low-altitude landing maneuver when she crashed to the ground at the National Skydiving Center in Boituva, São Paulo, on Sunday, according to Folha UOL news outlet.
‘The victim was filming another parachutist when, at the time of landing, she collided with the ground suffering injuries,’ the Civil Police said in a report that was obtained by the Folha UOL.

The surveillance video shows Ploner slamming to ground at the skydiving facility.
The force of the landing made her slide several yards across the field before coming to a full stop.
The military sergeant was still alive while she was being tended to by the fire department.
She was rushed to São Luiz Municipal Hospital, where she was declared dead due to the trauma injuries she suffered.

Ploner was a member of Os Cometas, the Army’s parachuting team.
‘The Cometas team extends its solidarity to friends and family for this irreparable loss and we pray that God can comfort them in this moment of great pain,’ the Army team said in a statement.
The São Paulo Secretariat of Public Security is investigating the incident as a suspicious death.
