Body of woman found on popular beach by member of the public as cops desperately work to find out her identity | The Sun

A WOMAN'S body has today been found on a popular beach by a member of the public.

Emergency services were rushed to Sussex's Pevensey Beach this afternoon after an onlooker spotted the woman.

Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cops are now urgently working to identify the woman as they probe the lead-up to her death.

Sussex Police this afternoon said: "Police were called to Pevensey Beach this afternoon after the body of a woman was discovered by a member of the public.

"She was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.
