Princess Charlotte could be seen 'slapping' her brother's hand out of the way last weekend in a sweet sibling moment.
The 7-year-old gave off a royal maturity way beyond her years as she kept her mischievous 4-year-old brother in line during the Platinum Jubilee pageant.
Prince Louis drew much public attention on the balcony during the Trooping the Colour ceremony last Thursday (June 2) as he was caught covering his ears and pulling faces as the Red Arrows flew overhead.
The four-year-old was then spotted again in the royal box on Sunday (June 5) covering his mother Kate's mouth during the pageant, and appeared at one point to blow a raspberry at his mother when she requested him to stop.
When he bit his fist and flailed it through the air later in the event, Kate calmly placed her hand on him in an attempt to calm him down.
Charlotte, however, was not having any of it — and quickly batted the hand down to his lap when he tried to do it again, showing her awareness of the high-profile occasion.
During the same event she also helped her mum keep him under control by sitting him back down when he jumped up suddenly.
In recent days a number of people have leapt to Kate Middleton's defence after harsh comments about her parenting skills.
After some on social media claimed Louis' behaviour showed a lack of clear boundaries, celebrities and royal fans have called the criticism unfair.
Supernanny Jo Frost commented on a video showing the prince wagging his finger at Kate, saying: “Love how mum is addressing [his behaviour] in public. Prince Louis needs to listen up and do as he’s told,” and signed off with two love heart eye emojis.
Fans also defended Kate and said that Louis may have been “over stimulated” and “tired,” which led to his mischievous behaviour.
One chimed in and said that he “is a four-year-old” and “not a prop,” while one seemingly annoyed follower noted that he had “been stuck in a suit for four days,” is “probably bored out of his mind” and praised the “little guy” for “doing well” given the circumstances.
