At least two rescued, six evaluated in Arapahoe County apartment fire

At least two people have been rescued in an apartment fire in Arapahoe County early Wednesday morning.

The fire is at an apartment at 1306 S. Parker Rd. in unincorporated Arapahoe County, according to the South Metro Fire Rescue in a 5:40 a.m. tweet. The Denver Fire Department and Aurora Fire Department also assisted in the fire, which has been contained, officials said at 6:20 a.m.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office rescued one person from the fire, and firefighters rescued another person with a ladder, the fire department said on Twitter.

Six patients have been evaluated on the scene.

Emergency officials are still searching the four-story building as well.
