Apprentice star’s clothing company goes bust as customers left without orders
A former Apprentice contestant has been forced to close down her business – with liquidation taking place too.
Fran Bishop has closed down her The Pud Store business, which had three shops in Mansfield, Newark and Doncaster, just a few months after expanding the business, Notts Live reports.
Launched in 2015, the business was an independent nursery and children's wear company.
A notice on the company's website states that it has “ceased trading” and is now “taking steps to enter into liquidation”.
It adds: “If you have made payment for an order by debit or credit card and have not received it, you should contact your bank directly to request a refund – commonly referred to as a charge back or disputed transaction – and your banking provider will consider your claim and, if eligible, refund the money to you.
“Payments in excess of £100 made by credit card are also covered under the provisions of Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act and you should advise your bank you wish to make a Section 75 claim.”
The administration company for the closure is Michael Chamberlain and Gareth Peckett.
While no reason for the closure is given, Ms Bishop was critical of the Government's coronavirus restrictions, stating that it would “rip the heart out of the high street”, in October 2020.
But in February of this year, she completed a takeover of online retailer Precious Little One, which included all its stock, websites and customer databases for an undisclosed sum.

Ms Bishop appeared on series 12 of BBC's Apprentice, and described herself as an “anti-wage”.
She was “fired” after the interviews stage, just one episode before the finale, in 2016, making the final five of that series.
The Pud Store's social media pages have all been closed down.
