ALMOST a third of workers get no job satisfaction and admit they do it only to pay the bills.
A fifth also say their job is unfulfilling, while a quarter dream about changing jobs every day.
Asked why they do not switch careers, they blame the fear of the unknown, worry they lack skills or confess they simply do not know how to go about it.
But more than half of those questioned for a survey for Bupa Care Homes said having a job helping others would make them happy.
Top of the list would be a nurse, doctor, paramedic or teacher.
Bupa head of recruitment Davina Barton said: “If you’re looking for a career change, there’s never been a better time.
“Experience isn’t essential in social care.
“Instead, we look for people skills and empathy.”
