10 worst places to live in 2021 – with Liverpool and Bradford making the list
There’s only one thing people love more than boasting about their hometowns – and that’s complaining about them.
No matter how much we love where we grew up, or live, there’s always something to moan about.
Satirical website ILiveHere.co.uk believes it has come up with a definitive answer for where the worst place in England to live in 2021 is.
As many as 125,681 people voted for the worst place to live in England – and the answer has finally been revealed.
It’s bad news if you live in Peterborough – because it’s been voted the Worst Town in England for the third year in a row.
This year the city in Cambridgeshire “won” by thousands of votes, with voters citing its “draining atmosphere”, and describing it as a “dump”.
But Huddersfield came at a close second in the tongue-in-cheek survey.
Admittedly, one voter said that “not all of Huddersfield is bad… just 70% of it”.
While another candidly said: “There’s nothing but pound shops and a few coffee shops. It’s polluted, unclean and full of idiots. It’s a horrible place to live."

While a third added: “Huddersfield should be avoided by all those who desire to keep their wallets, mobile phones and most of all their sense of smell.”
Coming in at third place was Liverpool, with people citing the scouse accent and “orange girls”.
One of the outspoken voters said: “I can’t put into words just how miserable growing up in this horrid place has been.
“The people attempt to grind you and your individuality down because they fear people with more than single digit IQs and who dress in clothes other than the latest black track suit.”

But these three places weren’t the only cities and towns to receive a bashing in the survey.
