1 dead, 1 wounded after shooting in Colorado Springs – The Denver Post

One person has died and another is wounded after a shooting in Colorado Springs Sunday afternoon, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were sent to investigate a call of numerous gunshots at about 5:03 p.m. on the 4800 block of Spokane Way. Upon arriving, they found two people who had each suffered a gunshot wound. They were transported to the hospital where one would die from their injuries. The other person did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

The name of person who died will be released by the coroner’s office after positive identification has been made and the next of kin has been notified.
