Tiffany Trump Has Been Spending Time Socializing in Miami and Thinking About Her Next Move: Sources
While her father faces the final days of his presidency and the start of his second impeachment trial — in the shadow of the deadly pro-Trump insurrection at the U.S. Capitol last week — Tiffany Trump is far away, in Florida, socializing and considering her next move.
Insiders tell PEOPLE that President Donald Trump's younger daughter, with his ex-wife Marla Maples, has been spending time in the Miami area with boyfriend Michael Boulos and she is weighing a new purchase.
"She is actively looking for a house in Miami Beach," one local source tells PEOPLE, noting that Tiffany "has been in Miami Beach for five or six days."
The Trumps' roots in Florida are growing deeper, even as the White House has been mum on their post-Washington, D.C., plans.
In addition to the president's Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach — a favored retreat — presidential adviser Ivanka Trump recently purchased property in the Miami area with husband Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr. and his girlfriend, former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle, are looking at houses all over Palm Beach County, sources confirm to PEOPLE.
It's unclear if any of them can get far enough away from the stain of last week's violence.
After a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 during a joint session of Congress, and five people died, multiple businesses and groups said they would cut ties with the president and his Trump Organization, raising the specter of costly condemnation.
("We live in the age of cancel culture, but this isn't something that started this week. It is something that they have been doing to us and others for years," son Eric Trump told the Associated Press in response.)
Down south, however, Tiffany had other plans: A couple of days before the beginning of President Trump's impeachment in the House of Representatives, she and her boyfriend stopped by the SAAM Lounge at SLS Brickell in Miami for relaxation and fun.
Trump, a 27-year-old Georgetown Law School graduate, asked the management not to take pictures and she plainly wanted to be left alone. She reportedly wore a face mask while coming and going, amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Tiffany looked happy and content because she was able to enjoy herself without people pointing her out," a source says.
"She and Micheal were lovey-dovey and laughing a lot while they were at the lounge," the source continues. (Tiffany and Boulos, the son of a wealthy family with businesses in Nigeria, first met in the summer of 2018, at Lindsay Lohan's club on Mykonos, Greece.)
"Michael loves this lounge and its decor and comes here all of the time when he is in Miami," a source tells PEOPLE of their visit Saturday to the indoor/outdoor entertainment venue in Miami.
"Michael and Tiffany were in a group of about five people including Israeli singer Omer Adam. They had bites and drinks and stayed for two hours with her bodyguard in tow," the source says.
The source also says that Tiffany and Boulos left a big tip for the staff — "they were gracious and extremely generous to the waiters" — and "they felt protected and could be themselves."
Elsewhere on Saturday, Tiffany was spotted at an early dinner at Joia Beach, a waterfront restaurant and beach club also in Miami, where she was joined by "a couple of girlfriends" and others.
"Tiffany arrived by boat in late afternoon was with a mixed group of people, some older folks and some children," a source tells PEOPLE of the scene at the rustic and chic eatery.
"They stayed for three-and-a-half hours, until it got dark. She was very low-key, sitting at a table away from the spotlight in a corner of the restaurant wearing an oversized low-brim sun hat."
The Secret Service detail assigned to the president's daughter sat at several tables around her and the others.
"I saw Tiffany and her friends laughing and eating, and they seemed to have fun," says one source. Though another tells PEOPLE: "Tiffany was guarded and concerned for her privacy."
A spokeswoman for the Trump Organization did not respond to a request for comment.
