Former Chief Advisor Dominic Cummings is set to give “explosive” evidence at a coronavirus committee on Wednesday where he has said he will reveal the errors of the Government which led to one of the highest death tolls in Europe. But TalkRADIO host Mike Graham tore into Mr Cummings and ridiculed him stating he was the “annoying guy at a party”. Mr Graham did not hold back as he mocked Mr Cummings’ approach to taking on the Government.

Mr Cummings is to appear at a committee on Wednesday where he will give evidence on the early decision making on the pandemic.

The former government aide has already been vocal on Twitter where he has written several threads accusing the Government of multiple things including pursuits of herd immunity.

Mr Cummings has also revealed he is in possession of “crucial evidence” which will damn the Government’s decision making and added he has the only copy of it.

Mr Graham spoke about the story on his show and was less than impressed with Mr Cummings’ behaviour.

He was joined by The Independent’s Chief Political Commentator John Rentoul and discussed the future meeting.

Mr Graham said: “He’s in a bit of danger of becoming a cartoon figure isn’t he?

“We’re told that he will release some form of document secretly to the committee and they can decide whether to release it because he doesn’t want to get done under the Official Secrets Act.

“Dominic, just go get a job somewhere, you know, go join a think tank or go work for the European Union – do something else.

Dominic Cummings 'Prince Harry of Downing Street' says expert

“Stop bothering everybody, he’s like that annoying guy at the party and goes ‘I’ve got this new plan would you like to see it?'”

Mr Graham said while Mr Cummings is “interesting” he requires an editor to help him present his case strongly.

The radio host added an editor would be able to remove everything that was not required and only present the “interesting bits”.

Mr Rentoul, who was also on the show, admitted it was likely Mr Cummings’ appearance at the committee would be a “disappointment”.

He agreed with Mr Graham and said it was likely to see the former aide “get lost in the trees”.

Mr Cummings revealed in a Twitter thread that the Government was pursuing herd immunity as a way to tackle the pandemic in its early stages.

Home Secretary Priti Patel addressed the allegations and said it was “absolutely not” the case.

But despite the denials from the Government, Chief Scientific Advisor Sir Patrick Vallance did discuss making communities immune as a long-term way to tackle the pandemic.

Mr Cummings alleges there would be no requirement for lockdowns if the UK had the “Right preparations and competent people in charge.”
