SNP Commons leader Ian Blackford interrogated the Prime Minister and demanded answers for why NHS staff are seeing a real-terms pay cut due to the National Insurance increase in April. Mr Blackford pointed out that while nurses were protecting the country during the pandemic more than a dozen parties were being held across government and was furious at the NHS snub. But Mr Johnson batted back the attacks from the SNP leader, arguing more people now worked in the NHS under the Tories and mocked the SNP’s plans to shorten classroom doors to improve ventilation to tackle airborne viruses like COVID-19.
