Biden in awkward gaffe as he confuses black and tans with All Blacks

Joe Biden was caught out in a major gaffe this afternoon on a visit to the Republic of Ireland.

The US President mistakenly said his rugby player causing “beat the hell out of the Black and Tans”.

Mr Biden is thought to have been referring to the All Blacks.

The Black and Tans were constables recruited into the Royal Irish Constabulary as reinforcements during the Irish War of Independence.
