Credit Suisse Appoints Dierk Von Schuckmann as CFO Asset Management
Credit Suisse, a Switzerland-based financial services firm, has hired Dierk von Schuckmann as the new Chief Financial Officer for its asset management unit. According to Reuters, von Schuckmann comes from UBS as the financial institution is revamping its asset management.
His appointment will be effective starting November 1, according to a spokesperson quoted by the news agency. According to his LinkedIn profile, von Schuckmann has been working as Chief Financial Officer Asset Management for UBS in the last four years, but he had been employed in the firm for over ten years. He previously worked for over six years as Managing Director at Merrill Lunch
Antonio Horta-Osorio, new Chairman of Credit Suisse, expects to make several changes in both asset management and investment banking departments following a strain of negative maneuvers witnessed over the last two years.
The executive promised to launch a new strategy by the end of the year to deal with times of crisis, which had already started with some executives departing the Switzerland-based financial services firm. Also, Reuters said that Michael Rongetti, current divisional Chief Financial Officer, was named Head of Asset Management Americas. At the same time, Min Huang was appointed interim head of asset management in the Asia-Pacific region. He will replace Michael Levin in the role.
Recent Credit Suisse Appointments
In September, Credit Suisse appointed Christian Deiss as its new Head of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Deiss replaced Joe Gallagher in the role, who will stay on as the Vice Chairman of Investment Banking and Capital Markets for the Asia Pacific.
His educational background includes having earned a degree in Business Administration at the University of St. Gallen. Moreover, Deiss holds a Master in Business Administration from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC). Pankaj Goel also announced that he will depart from the Swiss firm at the end of the year after spending over 17 years with the bank from the Southeast Asia region.
