Honeytrap mugger jailed after luring men back to her flat and robbing them

A honeytrap thief who used sex as bait to rob vulnerable men has been jailed for six years.

Hollie Cheeseman would meet innocent men and lure them back to her flat with the promise of sex.

A court heard how the mum-of-one would undress her victims before her boyfriend Jeremy Long, 41, would burst into the bedroom with a knife and threaten to mutilate them.

The duo would then rob the men of their bank cards, locking them in the flat while Long went to a cash machine.

When one victim's account was overdrawn Long threatened to punch him and put him in his car boot and drive him somewhere to beat him up.

The cruel couple then went to the victim's home, and stole various items including a TV, phone and PS4 games console.

A court heard heavily pregnant Cheeseman, 32, will give birth during her six year prison sentence and could lose custody of her child once it is born.

Her barrister James Cartwright pleaded for the judge to pass a more lenient sentence to help her keep the newborn.

Mr Cartwight said: "If she were given a four year sentence she will lose custody of her child which is going to be born soon.

"She is a warm-hearted person if she wants to be, and to deprive her of her child is not a punishment at all, it's just cruelty.

"I'm going to ask you as a matter of mercy to give her a sentence of less than four years."

But Judge Catherine Brown said Cheeseman had shown "a lack of remorse and empathy."

She told her: "Not surprisingly given your history, whether you will be permitted to see your child once he or she is born is far from certain, although there is a mother and baby unit in the prison at which you are detained.

"In any event, a child can only remain for a maximum of 18 months.

"Because of your pregnancy I have no doubt being on remand and serving a custodial sentence is more onerous than it would be for someone not in your position.

"Whether or not you keep your baby, the fact that you will give birth as a serving prisoner is a factor I take into account."

Judge Brown also said the crimes were against a vulnerable man where she was a "willing participant".

Cheeseman told a family member in the public gallery: "I've lost [the baby], I've lost it." as she was led to the cells.
