Block.one Introduces New Enterprise Blockchain Services

Block.one, a software firm and EOS developer has added a new service that would make it easier for companies to adopt blockchain solutions for their business operations.

Block.one’s New Enterprise DLT Products

In a blog post on Thursday (October 15, 2020), Block.one announced the introduction of a new service called EOS for Business. According to the EOS developer, the service comes with a package that offers enterprise distributed ledger technology (DLT) services.

The latest suite includes Blockchain-as-a-Service (Baas), consulting, premier technical support, and training and certification. Brendan Blumer, the CEO of Block.one noted that organizations found the integration of blockchain for business operations a complex activity, despite the increasing need for the technology.

However, Blumer stated that the new service would proffer solutions, saying:

“EOSIO for Business is a holistic set of products designed to help organizations of all sizes capture the benefits without the complexity.”

Block.one’s BaaS allows corporations to fully focus on blockchain technology integration without pouring time into maintenance. The BaaS tool is an automated blockchain platform managed completely by Block.one. Meanwhile, the consulting service will offer organizations access to EOSIO engineers who will offer their expertise in different areas including the implementation of smart contracts.

Other services such as technical support help clients identify problems and offer technical assistance that would aid blockchain implementation, while training and certification offers extensive courses on auditing, security integration, and smart contract programming.

Also commenting on set of enterprise service products was Block.one’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ted Cahall, who said:

“Business clients will also have access to the newest EOSIO features and upgrades – all of which are designed to enable their development teams to remain focused on their own business priorities while leveraging Block.one’s specialized experience in delivering world-class blockchain innovation.”

As reported by BTCManager in October, Google Cloud joined the EOS blockchain community with the aim of being a block producer (BP) on the network.

The Growing Enterprise Blockchain Arena

With the introduction of Block.one’s BaaS, the EOS blockchain has also entered the enterprise-geared blockchain arena. The sector is dominated by Ethereum, Hyperledger, and R3 Corda.

Other DLT platforms like Ark and IOST have also launched enterprise blockchain service products. Ark introduced Protokol to enable corporations to easily utilize the ARK network. IOST back in March rolled out its suite called “Aircraft Carrier Plan”, giving business the opportunity to employ the benefits of blockchain technology.
