Celtic star’s wife leaves fans crying with cryptic transfer hint

Lustig, 32, appears to be heading for the Celtic Park exit with his contract up this summer.

The Swede even shared a highlight reel of his favourite Bhoys moments on Instagram earlier today.

And fuelling speculation even further was his wife, Josefin Lustig, who shared a snap this afternoon of her with the defender.

She captioned it: “Wherever you go I will follow.”

It sparked a frenzy among Celtic fans, who flocked to the post begging for answers.

Josefin has been an ever-supportive figure for Lustig, regularly sharing her support on social media.

On her Instagram account, they are pictured together in a range of smitten snaps.

Lustig is currently on international duty, and recently dropped hints that his time in Glasgow was coming to and end.

After Sweden’s 3-0 loss to Spain, he told Sportbladet: “The last few weeks have been tough. Not on the field, but off the pitch.

“I am proud of how I have handled the situation and those closest to me, the players and the leaders at Celtic know what has happened.

“It could have been handled differently, in terms of what has been said and what happened.”

He added: “You should never say never. I love Celtic and never thought I would feel such a connection to a club.

“I would never close that door. For me, that club is the fans and the job the players do for them. I have nothing but good things to say about Celtic.”
